Highland Dancing

The Highland Dancing competitions are guaranteed to reflect a wide spectrum of Highland dancing talent and caliber. Enjoy the performance of traditional and non traditional national dances, colourful kilts and national dress. Admire local and travelled, beginner and world champion competitors as they compete in two days of competitions.

The Glengarry Highland Games are proud to be celebrating their 60th Anniversary this year. In addition to our regular dance competitions, we are celebrating the occasion by offering the Dancers the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and technique by entering a special Anniversary event. The dance will be a (4) step Blue Bonnets. This event will be immediately following the Reel. Cash award will be offered in all age groups, also a keeper trophy. This is a beautiful dance for our visitors to enjoy when performed by the caliber of competitors that are competing. Proven successful in previous years, we will continue to offer competitions for all levels, including Pre-Premier, Restricted- Premier, National Competition and our Glengarry Highland Games Open Championship. With continually improving facilities, new locations on the grounds, covered stages, generous cash awards, keeper trophies, families, spectators and competitors are sure to enjoy the traditional Highland Games experience.
